At Thermal Trace Inspections, we know solar and energy storage systems well. Before the recent uptake in home battery storage systems, i had been  working in remote area power systems since the early 2000s. I have watched the industry develop and have been an active participant in industry groups and AS/NZS standards committees. These systems require preventative maintenance. I have been a licensed Electrician for more than 30 years. My specialty has been the design, supply and Installation of both Grid Connected and Standalone Solar Power systems for which i am fully accredited by Solar Accreditation Australia. My recent focus has been on maintaining these systems and can now add Certified L1 Thermography to my list of qualifications.

We use FLIR Infrared cameras to Trace the heat signatures of Solar Panels, Electrical Switchboards, Wiring, Circuit protection devices, Inverters and Batteries. Our aim is to find hidden problems before they become dangerous We provide a detailed report with suggested Actions. These reports can  be used for insurance purposes as evidence of maintenance when renewing your Home  and contents policies or to provide evidence of safety to a potential home purchaser or just for peace of mind. Increasingly insurers are relying on Certified Thermography reports for their underwriting
